RT/CT – RADIOGRAPHIC TESTING AND COMPUTED TOMOGRAPHY

Using RT and CT techniques, it is possible to detect surface and volumetric discontinuities and to analyse the internal structure of the inspected object without affecting its integrity. Depending on application requirements, inspections can be performed using digital radiography or computed tomography, enabling full volumetric data acquisition and cross-sectional views in any plane.

Traditional analogue radiography based on film technology is a manual, time-consuming method that is difficult to apply in serial inspections and offers limited repeatability. The use of digital RT and CT systems allows inspections to be carried out with a single or optimised number of exposures, digital image processing and analysis of areas previously inaccessible, improving inspection efficiency and defect detection performance.
