Stationary magnetic defectoscopes
Magnetic benches used in magnetic particle testing (MT) are specialized inspection systems designed for detecting surface and near-surface discontinuities in ferromagnetic materials. These devices generate a controlled magnetic field that magnetizes the tested component, allowing magnetic particles—applied in dry or wet form—to accumulate at locations where the magnetic field is distorted by defects such as cracks, laps, seams, inclusions, or welding imperfections. Magnetic benches ensure stable and repeatable magnetization conditions, enabling precise, high-contrast visualization of even very small discontinuities.
